For anyone interested in varsity cheer for the 2019-2020 school year, there will be a mandatory parent/student meeting on January 30th or February 4th at 5:30 in the media center. You only need to attend one of these dates. Varsity cheer tryouts will be March 11-15. If you have any questions regarding varsity cheer, please contact Mrs. McCarty.
Qualifications for semester test exemptions are as follows: Upon written permission from a parent, students in grades 9-12 shall qualify to be exempt from taking semester test in a class when they have: (A) Maintained at least a "B" average in both quarters(9 weeks); (B) 4 or less unexcused absences. (C) Not been suspended from school. Semester grades will be determined by an average of the two quarters(9 weeks). Students may, however, opt to take the semester exams.
Qualifications to be able to attend prom: (A) All obligations must be paid in full-you must not owe the school money. (B) You must have less than 3 discipline referrals and not have been in any fights this semester. (C) Only 11th and 12th graders may buy tickets. However, they may have a 10th grader as a guest. (D) Any students from outside of Maumelle High School must be approved and guest must not be over 21years of age.
Ms. Acord's entrepreneurship class is selling pizza for $2 per slice during all three lunches on the first Friday of each month. DECA will be selling drinks, candy bars, and chips for $1.00!
