Front of SHHS

SHHS has set some dates and times for the return of school property such as textbooks, chromebooks, library books, uniforms, etc… to closeout this school year. Additionally, we have cleaned out all lockers and boxed up the contents.  When you drop off your school property we will hand you a box with your personal items that were left in lockers (if any).  We will be on campus from 8 AM until 4 PM, but have scheduled times to adhere to social distancing.  Please note the dates and times listed below for the return of school items:

SENIORS:

Tuesday, May 12 - Students are assigned a time slot alphabetically for return of items:

              Students whose last name begins with: 

  • A-C - 9 AM- 10 AM
  • D-G - 10AM- 11AM
  • H-L - 11 AM - 12 PM
  • M-R - 1 PM - 2 PM
  • S-Z -  2 PM - 3 PM

Each student's 1st period teacher should be contacting the student/parent IF the student owes a fine. This should include what the fine is for and how much is owed.  You will need to have a money order or a cashier’s check for the total amount made out to: Sylvan Hills High School.  You can provide this payment during your scheduled drop-off time and we will mail you a receipt.  ALL FINES must be taken care of before diplomas are handed out. 

Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, July 19 if regulations on large group assemblies have been lifted.  More information on graduation coming soon. 

Official transcripts can be requested through the registrar, Ms. Hand.  Her email contact is rhand@pcssd.org and transcripts should be available beginning Monday, May 18. 

JUNIORS

SOPHOMORES

Wednesday, May 20 - Students are assigned a time slot alphabetically for return of items:

              Students whose last name begins with: 

  • A-C - 9 AM- 10 AM
  • D-G - 10AM- 11AM
  • H-L - 11 AM - 12 PM
  • M-R - 1 PM - 2 PM
  • S-Z -  2 PM - 3 PM

DIRECTIONS FOR ENTERING FOR YOUR DROP OFF:

In order to maintain social distancing, we ask that you enter on Bear Paw Road and take a left on the road that runs between the football stadium and the school.  You will then turn on to the front drive in front of the school’s front doors.  We ask that you stay in your car and we will have a team wearing PPE to gather your school belongings and hand you your personal belongings left in lockers.  We will gather things from students one car at a time.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHROMEBOOK RETURN:

We ask that you please wipe down your chromebook with a disinfecting wipe before returning.  Also, please charge your chromebook before returning and make sure that you have your charger in the bag and remove any other personal items from the chromebook bag.  These devices will be scanned back into inventory as soon as you drop it off to document the return of the device.

AP STUDENT EXCEPTIONS:

We are aware that many of you will need your chromebook for AP testing.  We will set a date and time for AP students to return chromebooks, but ask that you go ahead and return all other school equipment and material during your scheduled time.  We will collect your chromebook after May 22nd since the exams will be complete by then.

YEARBOOKS:

Two of the Jostens printing plants have been shut down so printing is delayed but NOT stopped. We do hope to have the yearbooks in Sherwood by the end of May or first of June. We do not have a specific date at this time, but as soon as we do you will receive an email and a post will be put on this site explaining the drive through or pick up procedure.
