Welcome to 2020-2021

Dear Senator Families:

I am so very excited to begin my first year as Principal of Robinson High School.  I have the pleasure of watching so many of our students grow from their elementary years into high school. Nothing will be greater for me personally than to work for your child during their high school career.

The faculty and staff at RHS are more than ready to connect, educate, and ensure that we are doing all we can to keep students safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

At this time, we anticipate having over 50% of our students utilizing the traditional or blended model of instruction. No matter what choices families have made for their instructional model, it is extremely important that students are actively engaged in the learning process.

We have worked hard to create a safe environment for all students and staff to return to Robinson High School this Fall.  CDC and ADH guidelines will be heavily enforced and adhered to, as PPE will be worn by all, and physical distancing will be practiced in hallways, classrooms, and cafeteria.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Todd Whittaker speak about what great educators do differently.  “It is people, not the program.” Although our students and staff will be walking into wonderful facilities this school year, it is not the brick and mortar that will make us so special and different from others, but the human capital that makes us the best.

The expectation is that every staff person will come to work every day with the focus of making a difference in the lives of children!

Additionally, over the past month, I have examined the data from previous academic school years.  The data indicates academic excellence in some areas and needed growth in other areas.  Hard work will be expected by the faculty, staff, students, and parents. We will celebrate our accomplishments but also understand that much work is still needed to reach the goals of which we strive for.  The Professional Learning Community Process will be our primary focus in ensuring that the curriculum is being mastered by all students.

As we move closer to the beginning of new school year, there are some important events I would like to share with you:
