Experience the power of public education.
Students, teachers, and parents of the Mills and Maumelle High School DRIVEN program presented at the PCSSD School Board Meeting on Tuesday night. This group of students, along with parents and teachers, spoke of the benefits they've experienced from DRIVEN this year.
“It teaches time management and responsibility. I participate in multiple sports and if I know I will be having four baseball games that week I can work ahead,” said one student.
One of our DRIVEN teachers stated, "I may have a group of students who know what they are doing in their project but have one student who is struggling with the writing/English portion of it. While that group is going ahead and working on their task, I am able to go give one-on-one attention to the student that needs it. That would never happen in a traditional classroom.”
We are so proud of the progress that these students have already made!
