June is Great Outdoors Month. One popular Central Arkansas outdoor destination is the Big Dam Bridge. This bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge in North America built for that use. It connects more than 14 miles of scenic trails in Little Rock and North Little Rock.

Today is Flag Day which marks the adoption of the U.S. flag in 1777. The resolution, passed by the 2nd Continental Congress resolved that the flag include 13 stripes, alternating red & white & 13 white stars in a blue field. Stars have been added as states join the union.
Parents of 3rd - 8th grade girls: don't forget to sign up for the Maumelle basketball camp this summer! The camp session runs June 21 - June 23 from 11am - 1pm for all students. The cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Today is Family Health and Fitness Day! How are you and your family working on your health this summer?
Maumelle High School would like to invite your scholar to attend our Freshman Transition Camp 2022 this summer! Incoming 9th-grade Scholars will have the opportunity to experience a week in the life of a Freshman. Our goal is to guide them through their transition to high school by introducing the academic, behavioral, and social skills they will need to perform at a higher level.
Dates: July 18-22 (5 days)

Maumelle Middle School would like to invite all incoming 6th graders for the 2022-2023 school year to attend Transition Camp July 25-29. Transition Camp is a great experience to learn about the middle school environment, meet classmates, and plan for future academic success. Any incoming 7th or 8th grade girl who is interested in basketball is invited to join the 9th grade girls and Coach T in summer practices. These practices will be held at the high school Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the month of June. Practices will be held on those days from June 7 to June 23. As a reminder, PCSSD is now operating under summer hours. This means offices are open 7 am-5:30 pm Monday-Thursday. Exceptions are the weeks of Juneteenth & Independence Day which include closures on Monday & a normal 8 am-4:30 pm Tuesday-Friday. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
