Earlier this year, 8th grade girls at Maumelle Middle participated in the Positive Period Project promoting healthy menstrual awareness. One student, Shekinah, led the charge in collecting feminine hygiene products out of her own pocket. She said "no girl should lack access to [these products] to keep herself clean and comfortable during her period." Way go go, Shekinah!

The students who participated in the Reading Challenge in December were rewarded with a great field trip to Dave & Buster's on March 1. Administrators, teachers and students had a wonderful time. We are so proud of the hard work the students put in to win the challenge! Go Stingers!
