Ward graduated from Flint Northwestern High School in 1989. Ward was a member of the softball and track team, FBLA, and managed the school store. PCSSD has been monitoring the freezing rain moving across the state this morning. With temperatures hovering at freezing and road conditions still a great concern, PCSSD will be closed today - Monday, January 22. All 12-month employees are asked to report to work at 11 a.m. We feel this is the best decision in order to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Freezing rain is expected to move across the state overnight and in the early morning hours. Out of an abundance of caution to avoid potentially icy roads, PCSSD will have a two-hour delay start on Monday, January 22. Please be cautious out on the roads!
NOTE: A two hour delay start means that everything runs two hours later than normal. To verify your school's start time, please refer to our bell schedule: https://www.pcssd.org/page/bell-schedule. Buses WILL run, just two hours later than normal. District offices will be open at 10 a.m.

The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education of the Arkansas Department of Education is hosting a “Become a Teacher Fair” to be held on March 5th from 3:30pm to 7:00pm in the Arch Ford Auditorium. There will be expert advisors to assist current and potential educators with their licensure questions. Please share the attached flyer with all schools and buildings in your district.
