Last Friday (9/30), 4th grade students from Crystal Hill, Oak Grove and Pine Forest elementary visited Maumelle High for a special STEMusic concert. Mr. Roy Moye III, founder of STEMusic, visited with the students to talk about the importance and impact of STEM in our everyday lives. He sang a song for each part of STEM. One of the important lessons in AVID is teaching students the importance of organization. One way to stay organized in the classroom is with a binder. These kindergarten students enjoyed setting up their binders earlier this week.
Ms Franklin’s first graders created piñatas out of boxes. They used pattern block shapes to create their designs. On some you will see butterflies and pineapples. On some you will see overlapping. Students can’t wait to take them home and show their families! This month's book is "The Piñata that the Farm Maiden Hung" by Samantha R. Vamos.
