Students in the class of 2026 participated in the "Pledge to Graduate" at Maumelle High School. These freshman are pledging to graduate high school and declared their academy pathway during their time at Maumelle High. Special thanks to our guest speaker, Hornet alum and current KARK anchor, Gary Burton, Jr. The academy pathways are part of the Academies of Central Arkansas at each of the 4 high schools in PCSSD.

AP Environmental Science Teacher, Mr. Young, brought current events into his class recently. He tasked his student to study the recent Ohio train derailment and chemical spill and determine the environmental impact of the spill. Students created a train poster with their answers to hang in the hallway of the school.

Pulaski County Counselors Association is planning a summer book drive that will directly benefit our students that may need extra support for summer literacy.
We are asking families to donate gently used books now through May 12 to your school counseling office. Books of any genre are accepted as they will be distributed to children of all ages in our District.
